Does
it hurt? |
|
| |
Some
discomfort is experienced associated with the local anaesthetic injection
(it is best likened to having an injection from the dentist). A pulling
sensation in the lower abdomen is sometimes experienced during the
procedure. After the procedure most people state that the experience
was not nearly as uncomfortable as they expected, but I have yet to
find a way of convincing people of this beforehand! |

The
best guide is when you feel comfortable to do so. |

| |
Will
my sex life be affected? |
|
| |
There
is no effect on erections or enjoyment of sex. If anything the extra
freedom offered and reduced worries over contraceptive failure can
make sex more spontaneous. |
